My Nominations for the WEGO Health Awards | Mis Nominaciones de los Premios WEGO Health

Hey Everyone,

So yesterday I received an email stating that I was nominated for a WEGO Health Award for Best in Show Blog as well as Best in Show Instagram. When I was reading this email I couldn't believe that my Instagram page and my Blog were getting recognized and nominated for awards. I never knew this was possible and little did I think I would qualify for any type of award. I write this blog because I want to help others not feel alone and I want to tell my story. My Instagram Page, I post about everything that goes on in my life. I don't feel ashamed of posting pictures in my braces when I'm in pain or even when I'm at a doctor's office getting blood work. I want to show everything that even though I may look normal, I do live with a disability that affects every aspect of my life. The WEGO Health Awards program was created to recognize and honor those making a difference in the online health community. It provides the opportunity for community members to thank and support the Patient Leaders they admire. I will be posting a link here where it will redirect you to vote for either nomination. You can simply vote for one, if not for both. I will appreciate everyone who votes. Just with the nominations I feel incredible because I know my pages are being recognized. I don't mind if I win or lose, the important thing is that I feel so proud of myself that my Instagram and most importantly my blog are being recognized. Hola Todos,
Ayer recibí un email sobre una nominación de unos premios WEGO Health. Tengo 2 nominaciones que son por mi Instagram (Pagina de Instagram) y por este blog! Cuando estaba leyendo mi email no lo podia creer. Nunca pensé que habían premios sobre personas que hablan de sus enfermedades o para gente que les gusta hablar sobre diferentes condiciones de salud. Yo escribo este blog no porque es un trabajo sino que lo hago porque me nace ayudar a la gente entender que es esta enfermedad y ayudarles que no se vayan a sentir solos. En mi Instagram, yo subo fotos de todo lo que pasa en mi vida. Subo fotos donde se ven días alegres y se ven días que he tenido mucho dolor. Muestro que puedo vivir una vida lo mas normal que pueda sin que mi enfermedad me detenga. Muestro cuando estoy en mi citas medicas cuando me sacan sangre o cuando tengo mucha inflamación en mis manos o pies. No me da pena de mostrar como se vive una vida con una enfermedad crónica. Los premios WEGO Health es un programa que fue creado para reconocer y honrar los que están haciendo lo posible para hacer un cambio en la comunidad de salud por internet. Con estos premios, la gente le puede dar las gracias a cualquier nominado por el esfuerzo que hacen para hacerle la vida un poco mas fácil a la gente que esta pasando por unos tiempos difíciles de salud.
