Est. November 11th, 2017 | Es. 11 de Noviembre, 2017

Hey Everyone,
So today is a very special day for me. A year ago today, I created this blog and wrote my first post. It was my first time ever writing any type of blog post or even creating a blog. I honestly had no idea what I was doing, but I started off with just one post and as time went by I started to understand Blogger and add a little more to my page. Never in my life did I think I would write about my life experiences with JRA. When I first created my blog I honestly did not really think it would be read as much as it has been. It has been read all over the world and I am so grateful that my life experiences with JRA are either helping others out or just teaching others how life with an illness like Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis is for me. Some of the countries that have viewed/read my page or posts are USA, Colombia, Peru, Israel, Russia, Canada, Ukraine, China, Germany, France, Poland, United Kingdom, India, Ireland, Spain, Brazil, Ecuador, Venezuela, Australia, Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Bangladesh, Trinidad & Tobago, Indonesia, Argentina, and Czechia. These are the countries that have been more active on my page, but there're so many more others I've missed. To all of you who have taken the time to go on my page and read my posts I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. To the people who have contacted me via my social media links on my page or by email, you all have made a huge impact on my life. I never expected to get so many messages and gain friendships from creating a blog. You all motivate me to continue to share my story no matter how much pain I can be in to write up my posts. There is 1 family I would love to give a shoutout to. This incredible family is from Bogota, Colombia and they reached out to me to ask a few questions. Their little daughter Anto suffers from JRA/JIA and they needed to understand a little more of what this illness was. As time went by, we have created such an incredible friendship that we still keep in touch, even though little Anto has been doing amazing and has been in remission for a couple of months. They also have their own blog, which her parents explain their story (La Fuerza de Anto). Thank you Anto and the entire family for allowing me to be part of your story and for being so open with me and trusting me to give you advice and just be there for each and every one of you. Another shoutout goes to Rachel Sauls my JRA Twin (Rachel Plus Rheum) for helping me through the process of starting a blog. You enlightened a fire in me to share my story online to reach another audience I never had done before. Your blog is one of the most incredible blogs I have ever read and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me create this amazing page I am so proud of. This year has been a rollercoaster for me. I have written a total of 21 posts (22 with this one) and each post have been different in their own way. I looked back and saw so many accomplishments as well as many upsetting moments where I felt defeated. Living life with an illness like JRA we never know what kind of day we will be having. We don't know if we are going to have a great day where we can do everything we want to do or we might have a day where we can barely move and have to stay in bed all day long and needing help from someone else. Looking at all the posts makes me realize that no matter what I was going through at that very moment, I had the strength to open up to you all and tell you exactly what I was going through. It could've been bad news I received at a doctor's appointment or an accomplishment like being able to stay active and work out. I want to make sure that I tell you all how much my life changes as the weeks pass or even days. I have learnt to accept that I will never know what kind of day it will be until I wake up. I always try to post as often as I can, but reality is that my hands don't allow me as much as I would want to. Sometimes I feel like I don't know what to write about because there hasn't been any much of a change from my last post. I do ask you all to give me topics of what to write about because I want to know what you all want to read. Please don't be shy and message me or email me! I promise I will try my best to write about every topic you all send or suggest. A little medical update is that my Xeljanz XR still isn't helping me as much as it was. I have no idea what is going wrong here, but this Thursday coming up I will be seeing my Rheumatologist and will know what will be my next step in treatment. I have no idea what could possibly be next, but all I hope is that I will feel relief where I can actually do things without feeling pain or feeling the exhaustion I can feel. This Thursday may be a rough appointment, but I am trying to be open minded on what will be my next option. Again, thank you all who have taken part of this amazing journey and I thank you for taking the time on spreading my blog link on your social media pages or just reading or even just taking a look at my blog.

If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions, please feel free to message me on here if not email me at fightingwithpaula@gmail.com

   *Stronger than Arthritis*

Hola Todos!
